Reply with quote | #1 | Hey everybody! I really have been meaning to post something over the past few months, but unfortunately their hasn't been much to talk about. Thanks to kzzchicago's post it motivated me to drop in. After a pretty decent 2008 with a brand new team I couldn't wait for 2009 to get going. Unfortunately it hasn't turned out at all as I envisioned. Numerous twists and turns in the off season only allowed us to run the first five races. Although our performance was pretty good we had some horrible luck and weren't able to find the funding needed to continue the 28 team. I really felt their would be some teams making changes and that I would have been out of a ride for a short period. It was great to get back in a truck with the 51 team and it was cool to once again drive the Zaxby's ride at Richmond. Believe me when I tell you I have been working very diligently to remain in contact with all the team owners and staying on top of what opportunities were/are available. Not being consumed with the Cup schedule this summer gave me a rare opportunity to spend some great time with my family. We were able to make a couple trips to the beach and got to spend some time back home in WI. Most of you have seen I am entered in the 37 car this weekend at Charlotte. I can't wait to get back on track at Charlotte it is one of my favorite tracks. I have spent a lot of time this week with the team preparing as much as we can to put our best effort on track. Qualifying for this weekend will be a big challenge, their is a very competitive field entered for this race. I am really looking forward to the challenge and I want to thank Bob Jenkins and the Front Row Motorsports team for asking me to drive for them. I am still working on my 2010 plans. I am optimistic I will be running full time again, and I am excited about the potential opportunities that lie ahead. As always I am flattered by everyone's support on this board, you all are the best! I will do a better job in the future keeping all the TK fans up to speed on what is going on with my future. Again, I really appreciate all of your support and thanks for checking in...
Travis
BTW... looks like we are going to Martinsville too!

Reply with quote | #4 | Travis,
Thanks for letting us know whats going on. We all really love seeing you at the track, and look forward to seeing you this weekend. It hasn't been the same since you you stopped driving the 28. It was good seeing you at the track standing by for Carl and qualifying for Robby, but we all know you are better then a lot of guys out there. Take the 37 and put it on the pole for us, and then into victory lane.

Reply with quote | #5 | Tk Thanks for "Checking in" your fans here really appreciate that.
This was a really weird year with everything that has been going on in the economy. Nascar teams will get back on track and opportunity will come knocking on your door again.
Good luck out there this week and hope to see you full time next season. __________________ Ken.....kzzchicago

Reply with quote | #14 | Bonnie, get your packages together for the TKFC membership kits for 2010. We're gonna have to find that boy a nice superslick ultrafast Blue Oval to drive next year. George Gillet is saying that the line up at RPM isn't set in stone, and there could be some changes. Well, let's hope that the deal goes on, PM goes bye bye, and GG decides to fire up that 28 again. Put Prince Travis behind the wheel, and let 'er buck. It's time someone got the chickin kickin, to start the bacon shakin', and that in turn will make the liver quiver.
Travis, thank you very much for cheking in with us. Couldn't have been a better surprise unless you were outside knockin on the door. As all the others have said, very best of luck to you at Charlotte and Martinsville. Knock 'em dead killer.
Ya'll have a wonderful day, and we'll catch you on the other side. |
